So first, my delicious lunch today consisted of smoked chicken, avocado, basil dressing and pine nuts on an everything bagel. I took one bite and had to take a picture because it was THAT GOOD.
Yummmm . . .
Ok, moving on . . .
Little did I know, but there was a huge market going on in the centrum today! To give you an idea of the centrum, it's blocks and blocks of stores, restaurants, cafes, with a few malls thrown in there. It is mostly outdoors with aisles and aisles of stores. The market today was actually up and down the aisles of several streets and also in the large open areas at the front of the centrum. They were selling everything from clothes, fabrics, and jewelry to all KINDS of fresh produce, meats, fish, etc. It smelled amazing and I was kicking myself for not having any cash to buy a green apple, which I've been wanting for days now. I may go back and get one . . .
Ok, back to the market -- so here are several pictures of what it looked like:
Gorgeous flowers . . .
. . . fresh berries . . .
. . . a variety of veggies . . .
. . . and fruits . . .
. . . all kinds of fish (since we're so close to sea) . . .
. . . and TONS of fabrics and cloth!
Two more things: we are not in the house yet and don't know when that will be -- we're waiting on customs and don't want to bug government officials who are in possession of all our personal belongings at the moment. Also, for those of you trying to call or text my old phone number, our numbers haven't ported yet (but hopefully will be by Friday), so the best way to contact us is calling our Dutch numbers, skype, email, FB, etc.
PS - Never did get that apple :(
