. . . getting shredded with Jillian

This may very well be my most successful day as a SAHM. It started with Liam sleeping from 10:45 pm - 7:00 am! It was nice to wake up a little later, and he was SO happy to see his day and I when he woke up. It just makes my dad to see that grin. : )

After his 7 am feeding Liam went back to sleep, so I decided to bite the bullet and begin my workout routine. I've been saying that as soon as Liam sleeps most of the night (and therefore allowing me more sleep, which I'm getting better at), I would do my workout and shower first thing in the morning during his morning nap. He normally sleeps from his first feeding until his next feeding, so that's my best bet to get exercise in.

So I pulled out my trusty Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD, and got busy. It felt good to workout again, but I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow (but that good kind of sore, which I love)! I did this DVD last summer and fall and saw great results, so I'm hoping Jillian will pull through again! I love it because it only takes about 20-25 minutes to do, and it really works. I was able to eat breakfast, shower, get ready, fold a load of laundry, and surf the web before Liam woke up a little after 11:00 am. It felt great to be so accomplished so early in the morning. I'm sure Liam has slept so much from his vaccination yesterday, but I'll take what I can get! Plus if I blame the shot I won't be disappointed if he doesn't sleep so long tonight. Ah, the mind tricks we play on ourselves. ; )

Hangin' out with Dad in the office
Liam woke up around 11:15 am, so after his feeding I left Liam with Keith so I could make a run to Albert Heign and get lots of groceries that we needed. We had lunch with Keith when we got back and Liam laid down for a nap. He slept long again, and ate around 3:15 pm, after which we headed to De Houtse Bazar, a "Party City"-type store, in search for something Halloween-y for Liam. It was about a 15 minute drive to Helmond, and I'm sad to report that I didn't have much luck. The smallest size they had in children's costumes was a 72, and Liam is about a 62 right now (on a good day). However there were tons of adult costumes, so I may bring Keith back for us to pick something out for the Halloween party we're going to. Unfortunately Halloween is not really celebrated here like it is in the States so there's not many places to get costumes. I may just try to find an orange onesie and decorate it myself for Liam to wear that day.

Anyway, so I'm taking advantage of my extra "me" time today, and feel like a new person! Tomorrow may not be as successful, but it felt great today! Hopefully I'll be able to get another workout in tomorrow morning -- if my body is up for it! Now it's time for soup and sandwiches for dinner, and a movie with my hubby. : )

Blog soon,
~Jessi
