First, Liam has been doing really great with sitting up . . . he still teeters a lot, but is getting stronger by the day. He loves to be up -- he's gaining some independence and loves playing with toys in front of him. : )

. . . bratwursts and glühwein and latkes, oh my!
For the second weekend in a row we headed out of town to explore the cities around us. Last weekend, it was my birthday in Bruges, and this weekend we headed to the Christmas markets in Dusseldorf, Germany. Germany is well known for their Christmas markets, which are located in every major city and begin mid-November. Apparently they're of all sizes, indoor and outdoor, so you can go to one that suits your liking. We had heard the one in Dusseldorf was pretty big, and all outdoor, which can be good or bad depending on the weather. We really lucked out because the weather both days we were there was exactly what I wanted -- the perfect wintry day with clear blue skies, cold enough to wear a coat and scarf, but not the kind of cold where you have to wipe your runny nose with your gloves a tissue. You know what I'm saying'.

rollin' with my homies . . .
Did anyone else just sing the lyrics in your head and almost do the little hand wave Brittany Murphy does in the 1995 classic Clueless? No? Just me?
Ok, well for those of you who aren't 80's Babies and totally zoned out there for a minute, I'll skip straight to the vid:
10 weeks old and I think we're already in trouble!

Things I've Learned . . . (9 weeks)
Now that Liam is 2 months old, there are more things I've learned -- I feel like I'm constantly finding out more about him, better ways to handle things, and adjusting to my new life. I know there's more with each new stage, and I'm sure I'm constantly repeating myself when I say that I'm adjusting and learning more, but I really am! And I'm sure I'm not as adjusted today as I will be in another month or two. And sometimes it's overwhelming knowing I don't even love him a fraction of the amount that I will come to love him as the months and years go by. I've only felt this way one other time in my life, and that was on my wedding day.
